Onboarding Space Managers
EMS Advisory Team Members are responsible for training and supporting the space managers in your department. Advisory Team Members who have questions or need help for whatever reason should contact the EMS Leadership Team Chair for support.
To successfully onboard a space manager new to your department please follow these steps:
- If the person has not been a space manager at Wake within the last three years instruct them to perform the following tasks:
- Watch the Space Managers Training Video (~24 minutes).
- Take the five question quiz. The space manager must get three out of five questions correct to pass (two attemps maximum).
- After they pass (or if they’ve been a space manager at Wake within the last three years), the Advisory Team Member must fill out the New Space Managers – EMS Account Request Form to secure a new EMS acccount. The EMS Leadership Team Chairperson will create an account and email you when the account is ready.
- Google Groups
- Add your space manager to the Space Managers Google Group (see sample Welcome Message if needed). If your building has banners, please add your space manager to the Banners Google Group .
- Remove people from the Google Group(s) who will no longer be a space manager at Wake.
- Conduct EMS Training. If you don’t have any training materials, there are some existing training resources to get you started.
